H2 Group was established in 2004 with a mission to own and operate a network of award winning Spar Convenience Stores and Service Stations in Ireland. H2 Group is achieving this by developing new sites and also by improving underperforming retail forecourt operations often tailoring the shops to suit the community concerned.
H2 Group has a proven track record in operating and developing petrol filling stations and maximizing sales and profit per site. H2 Group has won numerous industry awards over the past 10 years and have recently been announced as a winner of the Deloitte Best Managed Company Awards.

Executive Team
Sean Heaphy BBS, CPA - Managing Director
Sean is co-founder and Managing Director of the company with overall responsibility for the day to day management of the group. He is a qualified accountant with over 25 years’ experience in retail, accountancy, IT consultancy, e-procurement and e–solutions. He has completed client and contract work in a wide range of industry sectors. Sean comes from a family background in the retail trade and is the 4th generation in the grocery business.
Sean is currently a member of the National Council of Spar Retailers which is a representative body of 12 nominated retailers who work with BWG management on the development of group strategy and the implementation of group policies. He is also an executive member of the IPRA ( Independent Petrol Retailers Association) in Ireland.
Evelyn O’Connell BComm, ACCA – Financial Controller
Evelyn joined the company in 2012 as Group Financial Controller. She is a qualified accountant who has worked in various accounting positions within such companies as Canada Life, CNG Hotels, Fexco, Kellihers Electrical and Landers Leisure. She graduated from the National University of Ireland with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree before pursuing a career in accountancy. Evelyn is responsible for the financial management, financial analysis, reporting and internal controls of the group.
Gillian Morris – Operations Manager
Gillian is the Groups Operations Manager and plays a key role in the development of our retail business, including all aspects of existing business management, store standards, product offering, promotions, marketing programmes and new store openings. She has over 15 years’ experience in the retail sector and has previously held various positions within the group.
